Parsec For Teams
Parsec for Teams transformed Parsec’s low-latency streaming technology into a professional remote collaboration platform for creative teams. I led design across onboarding, trial conversion, core workflows, and the connection between the Teams dashboard and desktop app. The redesigned trial experience increased trial-to-paid conversion by 60%, while a more unified product and scalable design foundation helped support adoption by larger organizations.

Objective
Parsec began as a remote-access tool built primarily for gamers. As remote work accelerated at the start of the pandemic, the opportunity was to evolve it into a platform that creative teams could rely on every day.
The challenge was not simply adding team-management features. Parsec needed to support IT administrators managing permissions, security, groups, and hundreds of users without making the product feel overwhelming for individuals who only needed a fast, convenient way to connect to another computer.
Approach
I drafted the original concept for Parsec for Teams and designed the first dashboard prototype, then went on to own the product’s design as it evolved.
Working closely with product, engineering, sales, and users, I used interviews, usability testing, and customer feedback to shape the experience. We streamlined trial setup, rebuilt onboarding, clarified account and subscription management, and made trial progress and flexible plans easier to understand.
A major focus was creating one dashboard that could serve both professional teams and Parsec’s original gaming audience without feeling like two separate products stitched together. The interface adapted to the needs of each user, keeping the experience simple for individuals while giving administrators the deeper controls they needed to manage larger organizations.
Outcome
The result was a more scalable and coherent product that helped Parsec become widely adopted across game development, film, animation, and other creative industries. The redesigned trial experience contributed to a 60% increase in trial-to-paid conversion, while the broader platform supported teams ranging from small remote studios to major AAA organizations.
